The reason we use New Zealand pool pebble is because it’s the strongest product on the market. Pebble is so much stronger than quarts and sand, as it has a very high cement addition. New Zealand pool pebble will last 20 to 25 years compared with painted pools which need painting every 5 years. Also the oxidise can leave a milky film and make the pool look cloudy. Other plasters don’t last as they don’t have the strength and durability that New Zealand pool pebble has. Some plasters we find are deteriorating before lasting 7 years. New Zealand pool pebble has the cement added on the day the pool is plastered so it has no shelf life- its fresh!
